\n\tThe first project classes were held in „SUSTMAN – Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development and Manufacturing for Students of PWSZ in <\/strong>Konin<\/strong>”. <\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe project „SUSTMAN – Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development and Manufacturing for Students of PWSZ in Konin”, is designed to give students the knowledge and skills needed in the ever-changing European and Polish job market.  An interdepartmental mode of study has been implemented with classes in Eco-entrepreneurship, Soft-skills and Communication, Sustainable Development and  Sustainable Manufacturing and Services. Study visits in Poland and Norway are also part of the curriculum.  During the course participants gain practical skills in starting up and running their own business. Participation in the project is free of charge for interested students of all faculties and departments.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe classes are held in Polish and English using the newest technological advances such as tablets and interactive whiteboards.  The first lectures took place at the opening conference in March 2015. Prof. Torbjørn Skogsrød from Gjøvik University College in Norway lectured on <\/span>Sustainable Manufacturing.<\/em> Prof. Tom Johnstad  from the same colle<\/span><\/a>ge lectured on <\/span>Sustainable Business Administration<\/em>. Sixty participants attended the first classes from other related  modes of study in October 2015.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe project „SUSTMAN – Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development and Manufacturing for Students of PWSZ in Konin” is implemented  in cooperation with the  Scholarship and Training Fund, whose operational goal involves: The development of Polish Higher Education Institutions from  January 1, 2015 to  May 31, 2016. Total cost of the project: 703 973 PLN. Subsidized sum: 633 575,70 PLN,  own investment 70 397,30 PLN. The project is supported by a grant from Norway through the Norway Grants and  co-financed Polish funds.  Its main objective is to train and prepare young adults for the challenge that most graduates face – finding a job. It could be self-employment or a career in a corporation. Potential candidates must have the necessary organizational and interpersonal competencies as well as appropriate labor skills. It all depends on the type of job and field that the given company operates in. More and more companies use green technology and pay great attention to sustainable development. Not many Polish Higher Education Institutions teach students to fulfill future employers expectations. However, there is a growing trend in Europe and Poland in abiding to the guidelines of the European Union. An example of this is Norway, the frontrunner country in sustainable development and eco-entrepreneurship. At the same time Norway financially supports similar projects in other countries and doing so, they reduce economic and social differences in the European Economy.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
